Research and Development (R&D) for more than 10 warships are planned under the new State Defence Program for the period from 2018 to 2027. The Russian Navy Commander-in- Chief, Admiral Vladimir Korolev said that on Tuesday.
"We have already planned R&D for more than 10 warships" he said at the joint meeting of the Coordinating Council of veterans organizations and Navy Chief Command.
According to Korolev, he spoke about prospects for the Russian Navy development planned under the new State Defence Program for the period from 2018 to 2027.
"Under the new State Defence Program, new and modernized blue water warships will continue joining the Russian Navy. Modernized Type 22350М frigate equipped with high-precision weapons will be constructed in most number in this segment", Admiral said.
Besides, green water warships and boats with enhanced efficiency and combat capabilities equipped with
high-precision weapons will be joining the Russian Navy.
