Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, signed the Federal Law "On Amendments to Chapters 22 and 24 of the Federal Law "On communications", according to the Kremlin press-office.
The Federal Law was passed by the State Duma on 5 April 2018 and was approved by the Federation Council on 11 April 2018.
The Federal Law brings in the grounds for termination of permissions for shipboard radio stations used on sea-going, inland navigation and combined (river-sea) navigation vessels.
At the same time, the Federal Law defines the expiration date for the radio frequency state committee's decisions on radio frequency band allocation and decisions on radio frequency channels/frequencies assignment without established validity period, which is now 31 December 2019.
