Construction of two river passenger ships of the Golden Ring series at the Astrakhan shipbuilding plant "Lotos" will begin this year. The group of companies (GC) of "Gama" (Nizhny Novgorod) acts as the customer, Dmitry Antonov has told on Thursday to journalists of the acting the CEO of the Astrakhan shipbuilding plant.
"This week we have resolved all financial questions from the customer on the budget of construction. Now we prepare documents for coordination with USC (United Shipbuilding Corporation), after this court will be put at us at the plant. It will be two vessels, the requirement of the customer - to put them this year", - Antonov has told, without having specified contract value.
At the same time the acting the CEO has noted that the term of construction of each vessel will take 18 months.
The project represents the 180-seater motor ship with the wheel drive. On the vessel comfortable cabins, restaurants and bars will settle down. It is planned that new motor ships will be involved in a tourist route Golden Ring.
The shipbuilding plant "Lotos" - one of the largest enterprises in the Southern Federal District, specializes in construction of cases of vessels of various types. The plant is an anchor resident of the Astrakhan special economic zone (SEZ) and also enters into United Shipbuilding Corporation (The largest shipbuilding company of Russia).
Now on shipyard the cruise vessel of the PV300VD project, two tankers-himovoza of the RST-25 project, the bulk carrier of the RSD-49 project are under construction. In September of last year within the project of modernization the plant has started the center of metal working.
