Research vessel Cosmonaut Viktor Patsayev will be a part of the cluster of warship, support vessels and their equipment at the Patriot military-patriotic recreational park of the Western Military District. This was
reported by the press-office of the All-Russia People's Front.
At present, the vessel is moored at pier of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad. The unique radio equipment is still on board in complete set and operational. In November 2017, it became known that Roscosmos excluded the ship from the spacecraft ground automated control system and considered its selling out as a non-core asset.

But thanks to not indifferent activists, veterans of the maritime field studies fleet of the space research service, USSR Academy of Science, the officials’ position was changed.
"We believe that making the research vessel Cosmonaut Viktor Patsayev, the only ship of this kind that survived in the country and has a federal cultural heritage object status, part of the Patriot park is the most reasonable decision possible. We hope that the formal confirmation documents signed by persons in charge will appear soon," said Oleg Avdysh, the co-chairman of All-Russia People's Front regional office in Kaliningrad Region.
