Order of Lenin Kronstadt Maritime Plant completes the repair of a unique F.V. Mitrofanov dock gate

The construction repaired by the plant looks like an ordinary dock gate, but it is a retractable floating gate.
Specifications:
  • Length: 27 m
  • Depth: 13.5 m
  • Beam: 3.8 m
  • Displacement: about 240 t

During the repair, a large scope of work was conducted: They replaced 70 percent of metal shell. They completely cleaned and repaired eight bulk gate valves of the dock gate, the diameter is more than 600 mm each. They cleaned and painted the gate, decks and bulkheads. The painting area was 800 sq.m.
