The batch of heavy-load dump trucks for construction of the Kola shipyard - subsidiary of Novatek - arrived to the Murmansk Commercial Seaport (MCS). Press service of MMTP Reported about it on Tuesday.
"The Polar King motor ship with a load of the construction equipment for the new project of the Novatek company which implementation is held near Belokamenka arrived from Arkhangelsk and moored at the pier No. 15 of Murmansk Commercial Seaport", - reported in port.
Among the special equipment there are heavy jointed Volvo dump trucks. These are cargo all-terrain vehicles as they can work in the conditions of boggy and stony terrain.
The Kola shipyard will represent center of construction of large-capacity sea constructions which is intended for manufacture of sea complexes on production, storage and shipment of liquefied natural gas and stable gas condensate, complexes of sea production and also repair and service of marine facilities and the equipment which will be used for mastering sea oil-gas condensate fields. The shipyard area will be more than 150 hectares. Production capacities for manufacture of a metalwork and modules of process lines will be created here; 2 unique by the size dry dock and a rotational town.
Construction of center will begin after passing of expertize of the project documentation. The total cost of the project, according to the updated data of the enterprise, is 50 billion rubles.
Earlier the governor Zapolyarya Marina Kovtun reported, taking into account scale of the scheduled volume of investment and creation of at least 6,5 thousand jobs the project was given the status of the strategic investment project of Murmansk region. For construction of shipyard in Kola Bay 4 artificial islands are created.
