The conceptual design (of the aircraft carrier- commented TASS) has been prepared and submitted to Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. Denis Manturov the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation admitted about it to "Russia-24" TV channel.
"The conceptual design of the aircraft carrier has been presented to the Ministry of Defence, and now the final shape of proceeding past activities depends on the customer's choice. We await for a final decision on their disposal this project", he said.
The Navy of the Russian Federation had previously made clear that the Russian fleet expects to receive the perspective aircraft carrier with the atomic power station by the end of 2030. Earlier the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Yury Borisov reported that the contract for construction of the aircraft carrier can be signed by the end of 2025.
