The construction of 2-3 additional icebreakers "Lider" is proposed for 2019-2030,However, final approval is awaiting a decision by the Cabinet. This announcement was made by the general director of Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Atomflot» Vyacheslav Ruksha, at the meeting, representatives of the participating countries of the Arctic Council.
"One of the crucial points concerns the governmental level- if we are truly concerned about our future, then we must start the active development at Liquefied Petroleum Gas Market, the construction of 2-3 additional icebreakers "Lider" is necessary to be proposed by 2019-2030."- said Vyacheslav Ruksha.
