First Russian diesel-electric submarine of project 636 “Varshavyanka” will be transferred to the Vietnamese Navy in 2014. In total Vietnam will get six Varshavyankas. The deal amounted to 1.8 billion dollars. “Admiralty Shipyards” are responsible for execution of the order.

In 2011, JSC “PO “Sevmash” is planning to transfer to the Russian Navy three new nuclear submarines: missile carrier “Yuri Dolgoruky” (project 955 “Borey” was designed by FSUE DB ME “Rubin”); missile carrier “Alexander Nevsky” (project 955 “Borey”); torpedo submarine with winged missiles – “Severodvinsk” (project 885 “Yasen” was designed by JSC “SpBMEB-Malachite”).

The Ukraine violated intellectual property rights of Russia when concluding a delivery deal of small-size air cushion landing ships of project 12322 “Zubr” to China — said “Rosoboronexport”. Except for the vessels themselves, the Chinese side will also get all technical documentation, which will allow China to evolve the production of the project copies by itself.

Changes in the Inland Water Transport Code of the Russian Federation opening Russian waterways for navigation of vessels under the flags of foreign states were approved. The law stipulates that navigation of sports vessels, pleasure crafts, and vessels carrying out navigation for the purpose of tourism along the rivers of the Russian Federation is carried out according to the rules set by the Russian Government.

United Shipbuilding Corporation believes that “Baltic Shipyard” can become an illiquid asset in 2-3 years. In the summer of 2010 the corporation initiated negotiations about purchase of shipyards from the organizations of Mr. Pugachev, and in May, 2011 it obtained a permit to buy assets. However parties to the contract did not agree on the price.
