Rosmorport Fined for Dumping Waste at the Sea of Japan

According to prosecutor's office, the crew of m/v Aquamarine collected 850 tons of contaminated soil and various wastes off Vladivostok and then dumped it all at the
Nakhodka Bay.
Rosmorport State Corporation is now liable to compensation of more than 77M rubles for the waste dumping at the Sea of Japan. That is a judgment made by Nakhodka court, according to Interfax.

According to the press-office of the Far East transport prosecutor's office, the pollution happened in November 2016. The crew of m/v Aquamarine collected 850 tons of contaminated soil and various wastes off Vladivostok and then dumped it all at the Nakhodka Bay.

The Nakhodka transport prosecutor filed a lawsuit against Rosmorport. The court took the prosecutor's side. However, the judgment is not final and binding yet.
