St. Petersburg police has received 16 new high-speed boats. The Baklan speedboat is one of them. Now, police officers are capable of catching up and checking any water craft on rivers and lakes in the city and Leningrad region. Owners’ documents can be onboard verified with the police data base.

The Municipal Court of St. Petersburg has sustained a claim of a group of citizens pointing to illegitimacy of the land use plan on Novo-Admiralteysky Island, where a bridge should be built on the premises of Admiralty Shipyards. The Court’s decision has not yet entered into legal force and effect; the defendants have 10 days to appeal this decision.

The Military Procuracy in Severomorsk has initiated an investigation as regards to the theft of money allocated by the Ministry of Defense to Zvyozdochka Ship Repair Center for the repair of Pyotr Veliky heavy nuclear-powered cruiser, as well as for service and maintenance operations on one of the Northern Fleet submarines. It has been established that actually unexecuted works were accepted and paid for an overall amount of over RUR 265 mln.

Zelenodolsk Plant named after A. Gorky has held a ceremony of laying down the second small missile ship in a series of Project 21631, River-Sea class small missile ships. The project was designed by Zelenodolsk Design Bureau for the Russian Navy. Specifications: length: 74.1 m, draft: 2.6 m, displacement: 949 tons; speed: 25 knots.

“USC is prepared to use their own facilities to fulfill a part of the State Defense Order, which Severnaya Shipyard fails to fulfill”, – an official representative of the Corporation informed. In particular, Severnaya Shipyard fulfills an order for 11 Steregushchy class corvettes, Project 20385, and 6 frigates, Project 22350. The contract value is over RUR 200 bln.
