The launch of ferry line between Vladivostok and South Korean Sokcho port is postponed again.
The ferry line between Vladivostok and South Korean Sokcho port to be launched on 1 June 2018, reported Andrey Tarasenko, temporarily acting Primorski Krai Governor, during his speech at the VIII Russian – South Korean forum in Vladivostok. This was reported by the pressoffice of the Primorski Krai administration.

"It is planned that since 1 June of this year the ferry line between Vladivostok and South Korean Sokcho Port will be launched, so the tourist traffic in both directions will surely increase," Andrey Tarasenko said.

It had been earlier reported that the ferry line between Sokcho (South Korea) and Vladivostok will be launched in March 2018. It was planned that the line will be served by Glory Sea ship.

The ferry line launching had been postponed several times despite the fact that the relevant contract was signed on 31 may 2017.

According to preliminary data, Glory Sea liner is capable of carrying up to 1200 passengers. The ship has 412 cabins, more than 30 of which are of deluxe class. It is planned that Glory Sea will also call Japanese ports Shimonoseki and Maizuru on
west coast of Honshu island.
