As TASS reports with reference to an interview of the Krasnaya Zvezda edition with the commander-in-chief of the Navy Admiral Vladimir Korolev, the Black Sea Fleet is going to receive the third frigate of the project 11356 "Admiral Makarov" and the small rocket ship "Vyshny Volochyok" until the end of the current year.
"Until the end of the year the BSF will receive the third frigate of the project 11356 "Admiral Makarov" and the next small rocket ship "Vyshny Volochyok". In 2018 the Black Sea Fleet will be replenished with the head patrol ship of new generation "Vasily Bykov", - the commander-in-chief listed.
A series of these patrol ships is under construction for the Black Sea Fleet, marked out Korolev. According to him, their opportunities will be most demanded in an operational zone of responsibility of the BSF.
"Characterizing the southern direction, I can note that positions of both the Black Sea Fleet, and the Caspian flotilla are significantly strengthened. But I focus attention that this strengthening goes for the purpose of creation of necessary balance of forces", - the admiral told.
He explained that he means recovery and development of that potential, "which will allow to ensure effectively safety of the state from the sea directions in an operational zone of responsibility of the Black Sea Fleet and the Caspian flotilla".
Admiral Makarov frigate was laid down at Baltic shipbuilding plant "Yantar" on February 29, 2012, floated on September 2, 2015. It is the third ship in a series of the frigates of the project 11356 (development of Severnoye Design Bureau) constructed for the Black Sea Fleet. The first two ships of a series, "Admiral Grigorovich" and "Admiral Essen", were handed over to the Russian Navy on March 11 and on June 7, 2016.
