The sixth rescue boom boat of A-402B project called “Valery Barsky” was launched at LLC “Shipyard of the Nobel brothers”. Factory sea and acceptance trials of the vessel built for Rosmorrechflot have already been started. The vessel will operate as a part of coastal infrastructure of the port of Novorossiysk.

A fleet destroyer for the Russian Navy will be laid down in 2012. The ship was designed using a “stealth” technology. The destroyer will be equipped with a nuclear-powered or gas turbine plant. Deadweight will be from 9-10 to 12-14 thousand tons. It will be designed by JSC “United Shipbuilding Corporation”.

Nuclear submarine “Nerpa”, which is being leased to the Indian Navy, will be put to sea at the end of October to complete acceptance trials. Russian-Indian crew will work in a sea more than two weeks. In the Indian Navy the nuclear submarine “Nerpa” will be called “Chakra” and will be used as a training platform for the first Indian nuclear-powered strategic submarine “Arichant” equipped with ballistic missiles.

A strike of Baltic Shipyard workers scheduled for October, 12 did not take place due to solving of all acute problems of the enterprise during visit of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak. 1.5 billion rubles were transferred to the Shipyard to pay off salary debts. In addition, Baltic Shipyard will get new state orders, which will ensure the stable operation of the enterprise.

United Shipbuilding Corporation can not conclude a contract on delivery of nuclear submarines of projects 885 “Yasen” and 955 “Borey” with the Ministry of Defence, because the Military Department requires to reduce prices for vessels significantly. The Corporation refuses to reduce the contract price by 30 percent.

Amur Shipyard will stop construction of nuclear-powered submarines after the lease of nuclear submarine “Nerpa” to the Indian Navy. According to the Head of United Shipbuilding Corporation, a refusal to build submarines at Amur Shipyard is mainly connected with shallow water of Amur, through which ships should put to sea for sea trials. In the future the shipyard will be mainly engaged with building civil vessels, as well as corvettes of projects of 20380 and 20385.

The Pacific Fleet military court acquitted in the matter of an accident on nuclear submarine “Nerpa” based on the jury's verdict, which on the 30th of September justified “Nerpa” commander Dmitry Lavrentiev and machinist Dmitry Grobov, who were accused in the matter of an accident on the nuclear submarine.
The representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of the Pacific Fleet said that they did not agree with such decision and intended to contest it.
