By the end of 2011 United Shipbuilding Corporation and Finnish company Wartsila are planning to organize a joint venture, where electric steerable propellers of Azipod type will be produced. It is supposed to place the joint venture on the territory of Kronstadt Sea Works of Order of Lenin.

An investment tender for development of the New-Admiralty Island may be announced in June-July of 2012, the President of United Shipbuilding Corporation, Roman Trotsenko, said yesterday. The proceeds will be used to transfer production of “Admiralty Shipyards” to Kronshtadt. Final decision on timing and form has not been taken.

“United Shipbuilding Corporation” refused to buy Vladimir Lisin’s shipbuilding assets of and ceased negotiations. “Our evaluations are different. We consider that these assets are worth up to 1 billion rubles. Their evaluation differs from ours by times”.

“Red Sormovo” Shipyard and company “Volgo-Balt-Tanker” signed a new contract on construction of five product carrier tankers of RST27 project. Detail design of RST27 tankers was developed by “Maritime engineering bureau” on class KM Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS OMBO VCS ECO-S Oil tanker (ESP) of the Russian Marine Register of Navigation. The engineering design was made by Volga-Caspian Design Bureau. At draft 4.2 meter in a sea, deadweight is 6980 ton. Vessel length – 140.85 m, capacity of cargo tanks – 7828 m3, capacity of slop tanks – 280 m3, capacity of ballast tanks – 4650 m3.

FCS established an order, according to which a foreign carrier, whose vessel enters successively two or more seaports of Russia, does not need to draw up customs documents each time again. The corresponding decree was published in “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”. New rules were developed according to the provisions of the Customs Code of the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, which recently entered into force.

The RF Ministry of Defence will discard and dispose all strategic nuclear submarines of project 941 “Akula” until the end of 2014 because of restrictions imposed on Russia by agreement on reducing strategic offensive arms (SN-3) and submarine cruisers 955 “Borey”.

By decree of Dmitry Medvedev dated 28th of September nuclear-powered icebreakers are excluded from the list of objects forbidden to be privatized. Six nuclear-powered icebreakers, one container carrier and four vessels for technological service belong to the Russian icebreaker fleet. Quays for nuclear-powered icebreakers were also excluded from the list.

Next year an ice highly-maneuverable azimuth tug of ice class, deadweight of which is 350 ton, will be launched at JSC “Khabarovsk Shipyard”.
The vessel will operate with large vessels in a port, carry out coastal works, bring vessels afloat, collect oil products, and fight fires. Its length will be 23 meter in length, 10 - in width.

It is planned to reweapon the Russian Navy completely for ten years. The federal budget project for 2012-14 provides 440 billion rubles for technical re-equipping of MIC enterprises. As Vladimir Putin said at the conference on the military-industrial complex, development of shipbuilding will be one of the priorities in support of MIC.
