It is expected that the rescue vessel will be in dock for two months. During this period except for sonar equipment, other components will also be installed, such as diving bell well, outboard fittings, as well as shell plating will be painted. At the same time all the outfitting works and certification will be conducted.

The first sets of the advanced Shtil air-defence missile system for frigates of Type 11356 being under construction will be delivered for the Russian Navy in 2014. According to M. Kuzyuk, the system is intended for fighting against any existing and future air weapons. As compared to other systems, Shtil features better firing rate and interval between missile launching of less than two seconds.

One more RB-401 tugboat, serial No. 939 of Type 90600 to be delivered in 2013 was launched. It is expected to deliver the tugboat to the port Baltiysk till the end of this year where it will be put into service for the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Federation, as reported by the press office of Pella Leningrad Shipyard.

On 24 September ZNT Yard launched the second serial inshore boat for integrated search-and-rescue support of Type 23040, as reported by the press office of the Yard. The boat of Type 23040 is a modified vessel of ten diving boats of Type А160 (serial No. 801-810) built by ZNT Yard from 2010 to 2012 for the Russian Federal Security Service as well as of the Pelican diving boat (Type ZT28D) designed by the design department of the Yard.

Trial crew of the shipbuilder from Zelenodolsk jointly with ship crew tested the efficiency of the gun systems and other weapons. Also the ship performance at a speed of 25 knots (approx. 50 km/h) and storm conditions was tested. All the ship machinery, as well as systems, appeared to be serviceable and fault-free in accordance with the requirements given by seamen and specifications provided by shipbuilders.

In the end of this year India is going to issue a tender (Project 75(I)) for purchasing six conventional submarines for the Navy. The tender cost will be about 12 billion dollars. Russia is also interested in this tender showing the Amur-1650 submarine to Indian experts. It will compete with Scorpene, France; Type-214, Germany; and S-80, Spain submarines . Within the tender preparation, Russia notified India on the fact that the Amur-1650 diesel-electric submarines would be equipped with advanced air-independent propulsion system after 2016.

The Vikramaditya aircraft carrier turned back to Sevmash harbor after completion of sea acceptance trials and training of Indian crew. The ship was sailing in the White and Barents Seas since 3 July 2013. High speed and maneuverability features as well as avionic equipment and radio electronic weapons were tested during this time, as reported by the press office of Sevmash. It is expected that on 15 November 2013 the ship will be handed over to the Indian Navy. Then the aircraft carrier will start its voyage to India.

According to Kommersant , the details of new strategy for developing the United Shipbuilding Corporation till 2030 became known. Important changes will be made in the structure of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. Thus, the facilities of Baltic and Admiralty Shipyards will be closed or transferred and the existing enterprises will be divided in production departments instead of regional subholdings. The investment programme of the United Shipbuilding Corporation till 2030 is one trillion roubles and 20 per cent of this amount will be provided by the state but only if the corporation gets profit of 500 billion roubles per year.
