India will receive a lease for 10 years for Russian nuclear submarine “Nerpa” (of 971I project “Shchuka-C”). Trials of the submarine shall be completed by the end of August. The Indian Navy called the submarine “Chakra”. It was designed by Marine Engineering Bureau “Malachit” with the participation of Scientific-Production Association “Avrora”. The crew is over 80 persons.

The Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation on the fact of non-payment of the salary to the workers of JSC “Baltiysky Zavod”. It was founded out that the Head of the enterprise violated requirements of the Labor Law. According to the Director General of the shipyard, the debts were formed due to the difficult financial situation and presence of heavy accounts receivable.

A sea tug of ice class for the Pacific Fleet was put afloat at Khabarovsk Shipyard. The ship is designed for towing, fire extinguishing of vessels and coastal facilities, and diving operations at depths of 20 meters.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and USC enterprises will sign five contracts on construction of ships for the Russian Navy within the framework of the state defense order for 2011. The documents include – the contract with “Admiralty Shipyards” on production of a diesel-electric submarine and with “Zvezdochka” - on construction of two military cargo ships. Contracts with “Sevmash” on construction of submarine cruisers of 955 project /“Borey” type/ and nuclear submarine of 855 project / “Yasen” class/ will be already signed in the middle of September.

Frigate Teg of 11356 project being built for the Indian Navy at Baltic Shipyard ”Yantar” went to sea trials in the Baltic Sea.
The frigate crew consists of 95 officers and sailors of a division of newly built ships of the Baltic Fleet. There is also a trial crew of the shipyard specialists aboard.

The Shipyard named after the October Revolution (Blagoveshchensk) got an order from the Ministry of Defense on construction of two diving boats, term of delivery of which is in 2013-2014. In addition to the order from the military, the shipyard is building eight seiners for fishing enterprises of the Far East.

Materials of the Prosecutor's investigation of “Severnaya Verf” indicate the absence of components of the crime in the actions of its Head. The Prosecutor required being limited with disciplinary measures. However the Regional Department of Internal Affairs of the Kirov district of St. Petersburg initiated a criminal case in respect of the Shipyard head on the basis of the results of this investigation.
During the Prosecutor's investigation made on behalf of the President, Dmitry Medvedev, the Department checked information about possible illegal withdrawal of over 50 bln. RUR from the enterprise, says the source of RBC daily, close to the Prosecutor General's Office.
Procurators detected 13 facts of violation. Among them are as follows: conclusion in 2008—2009 by Alexander Gnusarev (at that time the Head of the Board of Directors of “Severnaya Verf”) of facility agreements with Mezhprombank (MPB) without an approval of these transactions by the shipyard stockholders. In the same way funds of the shipyard and bills belonging to it were placed on the deposits of MPB. The controllers saw in these actions an interest of Mr. Gnusarev, because he “held management positions” in MPB. According to the estimates of the Prosecutor's office, these violations were committed to the detriment of interests of the shipyard stockholders and the State.
According to the results of the investigation of “Severnaya Verf”, the First Deputy Prosecutor of St. Petersburg, Eduard Artyukhov, required “to decide the issue on bringing the enterprise officials to disciplinary responsibility“. The Head of “Severnaya Verf” recognized only three violations and prepared a statement to the court on recognition of St. Petersburg Prosecutor's citations to be illegal.
Meanwhile, two weeks after making the presentation, the Press Service of the Prosecutor's Office of St. Petersburg announced the initiation of criminal case against “Severnaya Verf” according to the Article “Abuse of Authority”. The reason for the initiation of the criminal case was facts of illegal actions of the shipyard head detected during the Prosecutor's investigation.

Due to the minimum draft the motor ship is able to go even through shallow water. “Palmali” accepted the third tanker of RST22M project, deadweight of which is about 7,100 tons, “Lerik” for operation. The manufacture is Besiktas Shipyard (Yalova, Turkey). The project RST22M is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau. Overall length – 139.95 m, width of the vessel – 16.6 m, and depth – 6.0 m. The vessel complies with the requirements of class of the Russian Marine Register of Navigation KM (*) Ice 2 R1 AUT1 COMBO oil tanker/chemical tanker type 2 (vegetable oil) (ESP) ECO-S.

The launching ceremony of the border guard boat of the 2nd rank of 12200 project “Sobol” took place at JSC ”Almaz Marine Yard”. By the end of September the boat will have been transferred to the Customer – the Coastal guard of the Federal Border Service of the Federal Security Service of Russia. The 213th “Sobol” is designed for service on the Black Sea. Length – 27.96 meters, and full deadweight – 58.5 tons. Maximum speed is 50 knots.
