Presence of the Russian Navy in the World Ocean is provided by more than 100 combat ships and vessels. The commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy admiral Vladimir Korolev told about it in an interview to the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
"The navy, as it befits the fleet of a sea country, restored the presence in the World Ocean. Now there are over 100 ships of all four fleet", he said.
Korolev emphasized that the Russian Navy returned to the World Ocean "only for safety reasons and maintenance of stability in the conditions of continuous emergence of new threats at sea". The geography of areas of presence, according to him, extended.
The commander-in-chief reminded that a quick and strategic command was created in the Arctic zone, a constant expeditious connection of Navy in the Mediterranean Sea.
"Speaking about the time spent underway, I can note the following dynamics. In 2013 it was 5.9 thousand days. In 2014 already 12.7 thousand, <...> in the 2017th - 17.1 thousand days", - listed Korolev.
