Russia is completing testing of a new engine for non-nuclear power submarines (air-independent propulsion machinery) and is preparing to create a pilot model. The project is planned to be shown to the Indian delegation in December.
The scheme allows not to store hydrogen onboard, as it is provided for in Germany, but to generate it onboard.

Dmitry Medvedev has signed the law on ratification of an agreement on security cooperation in the Caspian Sea. The agreement was also ratified by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of Turkmenistan. The document does not determine the legal status of the Caspian Sea, which separate negotiations are held about.

On December 2nd, the United Shipbuilding Corporation and OJSC Vyborg Shipyard have signed an agreement to build a diesel-driven icebreaker with power of 16MW. The vessel shall have been built by October 2015.

Finland and Russia will sign a memorandum on cooperation in shipbuilding and marine equipment area. The Finnish Ministry of Labour and Economy notes that Russian-Finnish cooperation in the shipbuilding area has a long history, through which the Finns have already built for Russia over 1,500 vessels, says “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.

JSC "ZNT Yard" laid two ice class ship-towing tugs for FSUE RosMorPort. The vessels are built according to detailed design TG04M developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau for Russian River Register class ”O” 2,0 (ice 30) A, taking into account the customer’s requests. Detail design documentation is prepared by ZNT Engineering.
