Almaz Shipbuilding Company signed a completion certificate for the first serial ship of a new generation of 22460 project, serial number 502, “Brilliant” for the Border Guard of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

The border guard ship of 22460 project is designed by the Northern Design Bureau (St. Petersburg) and is intended to protect the state boundaries and territorial sea, as well as for counterterrorism and anti-piracy campaigns.

Ship displacement is 630 tons, speed – 30 knots, endurance – 3,500 miles, self-sustaining period – 30 days, length – 62.5 meters.

The ship is equipped with the most modern navigation and communication aids, has a helicopter onboard, and ship automation system.

In 2012, JSC Almaz Shipbuilding Company transferred to the Border Guard of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation two border boats of 12,200 project “Sobol”, serial numbers 213, 214, and continues to build the second serial ship of 22460 project, serial number 503, “Zhemchug”, according to the press-release of the shipbuilding company.
Nevsky Shipyard launched the third multipurpose salvage ship “Spasatel Zaborschikov” with power of 4 MW of MPSV07 project. The Marine Engineering Bureau prepared its detail design. Length is about 73.0 m; breadth – about 16.60 m; class according to the Registry of Shipping: КМ (*) Arc 5 [1] AUT1-ICS OMBO FF3WS DYNPOS-2 EPP Salvage ship.

In the second reading, the Lower House of Parliament of the Russian Federation passed a bill defining the term of the water area of the Northern Sea Route (NSR) – “a water area adjacent to the northern coast of the Russian Federation, covering the internal seawaters, the territorial sea and the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation”. It is proposed to restrict the water area of the Northern Sea Route in the east – by the maritime demarcation line with the USA and the parallel of the Cape Dezhnev in the Bering Strait, in the west – by the meridian of the Cape of Desire to the Novaya Zemlya Archipelago, by the eastern coastline of the Novaya Zemlya Archipelago, western boundaries of the Matochkin, Kara Gates and Yugorski Shar Straits.

Nevsky Shipyard launched the second multipurpose dry cargo vessel of RSD49 project “Neva-Lider 2” with deadweight 7,150 tons. The Customer is JSC “North-Western Shipping Company”. The project is designed by Marine Engineering Bureau. Class KM (*) Ice2 R2 AUT1-C of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

Andrew Dyachkov was appointed to a post of the President of the United Shipbuilding Corporation.
From 2009 to 2011, he was the Director General of the Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering Rubin. From July, 2011 he has been the Director General of “Sevmash” company.
