On the 13th of May Sosnovsky Shipyard launched a sea rolling self-propelled barge with capacity of 250 t for Kamchatka of DCV47 “Sosnovka-1” project. The ship designer is Marine Engineering Bureau. Length is 42.60 m. Class РС: КМ (*) Ice 2 [1] R1 AUT3 OMBO.
Allowable load on the cargo deck is 15 ton on the axis of automotive equipment or weight of track equipment is up to 60 t.

BALTIC SHIPYARD “Yantar” prepared the third frigate of 11356 project to be launched for Indian Navy.
The project was developed by Severnoe Design Bureau. Length - 125 m, deadweight – 4,000 t., endurance - 5000 marine miles.

Keel laying down of the universal ship of CF 3850 project for Dutch “Damen Shipyards Bergum” took place on the horizontal ways of Black Sea Shipyard. Design speed of the container carrier is 12.3 knots, maximum load – 193 TEU. Length of the ship - 88.6 m, deadweight – 3.850 ton, maximum draft – 5.4 m.

A flagman of the Caspian fleet, frigate “Tatarstan” will re-joint its unit after repair in June. Now the ship is being repaired at Volga-Caspian Shipyard. It is planned to carry out its sea trials in June.

On the 17th of May keel laying down of the lead ship of “corvette” class of 58250 project for Ukrainian NAVY took place at State Joint-Stock Holding Company “Black Sea Shipyard”. It is planned to transfer the ship to the Customer already in 2016.

Keel laying down of two inshore diving boats of А160 project took place at JSC “ZNT yard”. The ship project was made by JSC “ZNT yard” jointly with LLC “Agat Design Bureau”. The Customer is “Gosmorspassluzhba”. Main characteristics: length – 27.4 m, width – 5.6 m, maximum draft – 1.5 m, deadweight – 9.67 ton, speed – 15 knots.

Hearing in private as to the fact of the accident at NPS “Nerpa” was started in the Pacific Fleet Military Court. The Commander of NPS, the Captain of the1st Rank Dmitry Lavrentyev and hold machinist of the same submarine, petty officer of II class, Mr. Grobov, are on the dock. On the 8th of November, 2008 an unauthorized switching of computerized fire-extinguishing system occurred at the submarine that was not still transferred into the Russian Navy during the sea trials at the Sea of Japan. As a result, 20 persons died, and 21 got poisoning of different severity levels.

The Government approved the draft law “On Shipping and Navigation Support”. The law stipulates tax exemptions for some key shipyards, a joint owner or stockholder of which is USC. It will allow the shipyards to come to a level of minimum profitability. Now the project will be directed to the State Duma to be confirmed, stated the Press Secretary of the Prime Minister. The draft law supposes to create nine shipbuilding areas in Russia. They will appear on the base of the largest shipyards of USC.
