On September 14, 2017 general meetings of JSC Baltic Shipyard and LLC Baltic Plant — Shipbuilding have made decisions on reorganization of two ship-building enterprises.
Creation of the uniform ship-building center Baltic Shipyard for vessel construction and the ships with the atomic power station, production of mechanical engineering for surface ships and submarines through the state defensive order will become result of reorganization that will allow to increase efficiency of the joint enterprise as uniform property industrial complex, to create conditions for his development, including the program of modernization of his equipment, structure of management, to increase the market value of the joint enterprise, to reduce risks of non-productive losses.
As the press service of Baltic Shipyard reports, completion of the procedure of reorganization of JSC Baltic Shipyard is the last stage of a conclusion of the enterprise from crisis. In 2010 JSC Baltic Shipyard was insolvent in connection with unfair actions of the former owner of the enterprise S. Pugachev. After visit to Baltic Shipyard in December, 2011, the President of Russia V.V. Putin, the Deputy Prime Minister D.N. Kozak, have made a decision to restore solvency and to keep the enterprise. The head of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation A.L. Rakhmanov and management of JSC USC took measures for restoration of solvency of JSC Baltic Shipyard, the program for a conclusion of the Shipyard from crisis is developed. This program has been approved by the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin on August 30, 2013 at the meeting in Vladivostok on development of civil shipbuilding. In implementation of this program active part was taken by heads of all levels of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation and JSC Baltic Shipyard.
Accession of LLC Baltic Plant — Shipbuilding to JSC Baltic Shipyard guarantees performance of the state and defensive orders by the Plant, including participation of the Plant in the Arctic program.
Merging of two enterprises LLC Baltic Plant — Shipbuilding and JSC Baltic Shipyard guarantees payment to creditors of compensation of their requirements for the settlement agreement, preservation of control of the state represented by JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation behind production and corporate activity of Baltic Shipyard and will put the end to a long and difficult way on restoration of a ship-building complex in St. Petersburg.
