Russians begin to express intense interest to domestic tourism and, besides that, river tours become more comfortable, as the tours sellers note.
In 2018 demand for river cruises from St. Petersburg increased by 15 to 20%, according to
Delovoy Peterburg. According to sellers, tours are becoming more comfortable and new berths are expected to ensure new tourists inflow.
By the end of 2017 year the city river berths serviced 195.7k passengers (both arriving and departing), it is 4.7% less than in 2016 year. However, by the end of 2018 year a growth is expected thanks to interest to the domestic tourism.
In particular, the maximum occupancy rate for the ships in June, July, and beginning of August may reach 100%.
