The government believes that full-fledged shiprepair cluster shall be resumed in the town of Sevastopol.
The Black Sea Fleet Shiprepair Plant No.13 (supervised by the Ministry of Defence) will join the United Shipbuilding Corporation at earliest. This was announced by the Sevastopol Governor Dmitri Ovsyannikov in the interview to the RIA Novosti.

"The full-fledged shiprepair cluster shall be resumed in Sevastopol. The Government Program of military-industrial complex provides 7 billion rubles for the Sevastopol Shipyard development. The Shipyard will be modernized and get the 290-meter dry dock in order to perform scheduled repair of the Moskva cruiser, which is the Black Sea Fleet flagship. The Plant No.13 will be a part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation at earliest," he said.

In response to the question on possible acquisition of the Shiprepair Plant No.13 by Zvezdochka Shiprepair Centre (which is already a part of the Sevastopol Shipyard), the Governor said that the decision shall be made by the United Shipbuilding Corporation.

"We care not about the corporate structure, but we want orders to be placed here, we want new jobs for 6 to 7 thousand people (totally in the field of shiprepair). People do not care how it will be called. The most important is that these manufacturing facilities (the Sevastopol Shipyard and Shiprepair Plant No.13) will work within one corporate entity," the Governor said.
