Nerpa Ship Repair Plant started sea acceptance trials of the Yauza large ship of ice class

They will check speed and manoeuvrability of the ship; navigation and communication means; operation of different systems and mechanisms.
The sea acceptance trials will last a week, and the ship, which was fully re-equipped, repaired and modernised by Nerpa, will see her first combat operation. Within six years the plant built almost a new ship, made a huge scope of modernisation works and replaced 90 per cent of the equipment. The former Yauza gave a hull, a name and a storm board with the ship's construction date.
