The Ministry of Defence reported that a trained crew will soon take the newest type 20385 corvette.
The crew for the newest Russian Pacific Fleet corvette Gremyashchy raised in Kamchatka has successfully completed training in the Joint Naval Training Centre in St. Petersburg and is ready to man the ship. This was reported by the press office of the Ministry of Defence.
Navy sailors studied the ship's design and features of operation for several months. The training included the use of modern simulators.
The crew practical training was held at the Baltic Fleet formation of ships under construction or repair, which is already highly experienced in type 20385 ships operation. In the course of training, Pacific Fleet sailors took part in marine exercises
and drills where they practiced in ship damage control at pier, arrangement of anti-aircraft and anti-sabotage defence.
There were streamlined routine service duty, everyday life and recreation of the crew on board, regulations for weapons, equipment and machinery maintenance, and procedures for ship preparation for taking weapons delivery on board.
The crew has successfully passed the final examination for ship control and will soon take the ship from the yard.
