At the station Vostok, as pointed out Mr. Lukin, “drilling of last 100 meters of ice was continued in a deep well”. Penetration into the relict layer with probable penetration into the water layer of the subglacial lake“ is planned for the 57th Russian antarctic expedition”, specified he.
