The Director General of Rosatomflot, Vyacheslav Ruksha, presented plans of a new generation of nuclear-powered icebreakers ЛК-60, with capacity of 60 MW with variable draft from 8.5 to 10.8 m., being able to overcome the ice thickness up to 3 m. A new project is wider than now existing vessels – 34 m against 30 m of width of the vessel of “Arktika” class.
