Samsung will invest in the development of the port of Uglegorsk $ 50 mln. The corporation from South Korea acquired a share in the port and has already started works on the reconstruction of its hydraulic engineering and infrastructure.

A nuclear-powered submarine “Nerpa” officially jointed the Indian Navy. According to the contract, nuclear-powered submarine “Nerpa” will form a part of the Indian Navy for ten years. The contract value is more than $900 mln. Nuclear-powered submarine “Nerpa” of 971 project belongs to the third generation of submarines. Deadweight – 8,140/12,770 tons, maximum speed ̶ 30 knots, depth ̶ 600 meters, endurance ̶ 100 days, and crew ̶ 73 persons.

Kaliningrad company JSC “Gidrostroy”, offered to design a shipyard for 120 mln. RUR, at maximum tender price 250 mln. RUR, became the General Design Contractor of “Zapadnaya Verf” in Vzmorye. The design stage has already been started. The Subcontractor will engage designers form Spain and Germany. “Zapadnaya Verf” will yet have to build up about 6 ̶ 7 ha of shore, as “Sodruzhestvo” and “Lukoil” did, when they were started operation of their terminals.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of the Russian Federation granted an application of JSC “United Shipbuilding Corporation” (USC) to acquire 79.33 % of the voting shares of JSC “Vyborg Shipyard”. The transaction was approved by the Antimonopoly Department, provided that the regulations, which are purposed not to allow restricting competition, is met.

Krasnoyarsk Shipyard has completed the construction of barge “БСП-1003” of 0150/2907 project with capacity 1,170 tons for JSC “Yenisei River Shipping Company”. After launching in early April, the vessel will undergo mooring and sea trials and will be presented to the River Register. The design is prepared by LLC “Gorky Central Design Bureau”. Length – 67.28 m, light draft – 0.33 m, depth – 1.96 m. The Russian River Register Class is "+ Р1,2". The construction cost is about 23 mln RUR.

JSC “Severnaya Verf” Shipyard concluded a contract for complex modernization of the third pair of ships of 1234Э and 1159Т projects for the Algerian Navy.
Works for complex modernization of the second pair of ships of 1234Э (small-size missile ship) and 1159Т (escort ship) projects for the Algerian Navy are already being completed at the shipyard.

The Board of Directors of JSC “Amur Shipyard” elected Andrey Basargin as the Acting Director General of JSC “Amur Shipyard”.

The first in the world nuclear-powered icebreaker “Lenin” that until recently stayed at the Sea Station of Murmansk as a floating museum, will be launched. Such a decision was made due to the lack of nuclear-powered icebreakers in the Arctic region to navigate vessels along the Northern Sea Route. In “Atomflot”, they decided to involve icebreaker “Lenin” to escort tourist routes.
