The Pacific Fleet warships have successfully practiced in destroying targets, including those out of sight.
The Pacific Fleet ships held the gun exercises as an open-sea part of the training element K-2 (a single ship acting in sea as intended). This was reported by the press office of the Ministry of Defence.

In the naval training range off island of Zheltukhin, destroyer Bistriy held two gun exercises to against out-of-sight coastal targets (camouflaged or hidden by terrain) and successfully destroyed targets simulating enemy hardened firing points and military vehicles.

At another naval training range, large landing ship Nikolay Vilkov held the single ship air defence exercises and conducted a series of gun firing against a simulated air target. The gunners of the large landing ship successfully engaged a towed floating target simulating an enemy surface warship.

Engaging a floating mine was another part of the training. The guns were employed to that end. The ships of the mixed Primorskaya Flotilla are continuing their missions at sea.
