Two new mooring berths and nuclear power station will be built for submarines of project 955 “Borey”. A mooring berth for “Boreys” moorage in Vilyuchinsk will appear on the Rybachy peninsula. The second mooring berth will be located on the opposite shore of the Krasheninnikov bay, where the station of missile loading is situated. A special quay pier will protect the station against waves and winds. The floating nuclear power plant will make up submarines and coast infrastructure of the base.
Russian Vice Prime Minister, Dmitry Rogozin, is now considered for the post of the Defense Minister. The current Defence Minister, Anatoly Serdyukov, has almost fulfilled its task to reform the armed forces of the country. At the same time the problem of tension and sometimes conflicts between “defence” companies and their main customer – the Ministry of Defence – has not yet resolved. On the other hand, the Vice Prime Minister, Dmitry Rogozin, is now working towards the elimination of tension between the industry and the military.
A buoyage vessel, project BLV02, is laid down at JSC “ZNT Yard”. The contract was signed between the Federal Public Institution “Rechvodput” and JSC “ZNT Yard” for the construction of the buoyage vessel, class PPP MМ-СП 3.5 (Ice 40) A for the Federal Basin Authority “Volga-Baltic State Basin Department of Waterways and Shipping” and Federal State Institution “White State Basin Department of Waterways and Shipping”. The technical design of the vessel is prepared by Marine Engineering Bureau.
VF Tanker-3, project RST27, will be launched at “Krasnoye Sormovo” Shipyard. The Customer is “Volga-Balt-Tanker”. Classification design RST27 is prepared by Marine Engineering Bureau (Odessa), class KM Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS OMBO VCS ECO-S Oil tanker (ESP) of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The detail design is prepared by Volga-Caspian Design Bureau.
Deadweight at draft of 4.2 m at sea – 6,980 tons. Length – 140.85 m, depth – 6 m. Capacity of cargo tanks – 7,828 m3.
The captain of the 1st rank, Boris Kirik, head of the 208th Military Representative Office of the Ministry of Defence in charge of quality control and acceptance of works at JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” is prematurely transferred to the reserve under the order of Defence Minister, Anatoly Serdyukov, on March 6th, 2012. The root cause of the conflict was the inspector’s refusal to sign the documents to replace the diving complex for the rescue boat, project 21300 “Victor Belousov” for an imported complex (by JSC "TetisPro”) because of apparent violations of the requirements of the existing guidance documents.
Russia and Ukraine are preparing a draft agreement on the maintenance of quantitative levels of armaments, military equipment and ship team at the Black Sea Fleet. In Moscow during negotiations with the head of the Ukraine Defence Department the parties considered the possibility of exposure to the Russian carrier-based aviator pilots at ground aircraft test simulator (“NITKA”), which is located in the Crimea.
