The start price of Nikolaev Okean Shipyard offered for sale amounted to 1.8 billion hryvnias (USD 65 millions), according to TASS with the reference to Facebook post of
Irina Serbina, the Head of the Bankruptcy Law Committee of the Law Society of Ukraine and the shipyard liquidator.
In accordance with the Ukraine law "On Restoring Solvency or Declaring a Bankrupt", the entire property complex of Nikolaev Okean Shipyard will be sold, the message says.
It should be noted that the start price is defined based on the sum of all creditors' claims amounted to more than 1.8 billion hryvnias. The Committee Head also added that more than 91 million hryvnias (USD 3.3 millions) are wages payable.
According to the liquidator's information, the open auction is to be held on 21 September. Irina Serbina characterized the sale of the Okean Shipyard as "a unique chance to breathe a new life into Ukrainian shipbuilding".
