Checks of the big landing ship "Ivan Gren" according to the program of production trial runs come to the end. Last checks were of a complex of communication and products of the information management system of the ship. Before work of an artillery complex, maneuverable elements, the systems of broadcasting and others were checked.
BLS of the project 11711 is a development of the big landing ships of the project 1171 which have perfectly proved their worth for decades of service on the fleet. At the same time the design mostly underwent serious changes.
The big landing ships of the project 11711 will be equipped with the universal ship artillery cannons AK-176M and AK-630M. Also for the coastal purposes and support of a landing of BLS it is equipped with two ship installations of jet system of volley fire "Grad-M" A-215 with a range about 20 km. On the deck of BLS basing of one Ka-27 helicopter or Ka-29 helicopter is provided.
The ships of the project 11711 will be capable to accept aboard up to 13 units of heavy machinery (tanks) or up to 36 infantry fighting vehicles or armored personnel carriers and also staff of landing and assault divisions.
