THE SYSTEM CONSISTS OF 2 CUMMINGS ENGINES, EACH OF WHICH OPERATES AN AIR COMPRESSOR, DELIVERING APPROX. 5CBM OF AIR PER SECOND. THE AIR EJECTED THROUGH 2 X 16 HOLES LOCATED BELOW THE WATERLINE IN THE FRONT SECTION OF THE HULL. THE SYSTEM IS OPERATED FROM THE BRIDGE AND HAS AN ADDITIONAL BENEFIT IF CAN BE USED TO ASSIST AS SIDE-THRUSTERS DURING MANEUVERING OF THE ICEBREAKER. -ACCOMODATION - 26 SINGLE AND 3 DOUBLE CABINS AND A HOSPITAL ОБЩЕЕ КОЛИЧЕСТВО ДНЕЙ РАБОТЫ ЛЕДОКОЛОМ НЕМНОГИМ ПРЕВЫШАЕТ 300! PLUS associated Spare Parts. The Icebreakers are generally in a good and operational condition. The high level of maintenance and low frequency of use of the Icebreakers have contributed to their fine state. All Icebreakers are in Classification Society; Det Norske Veritas (DNV) 1A1 ICEBREAKER (Laid Up status). TBN1+TBN2 are “Sister Vessels” and almost identical. The newer and lighter TBN3 was completed later and differs from the two. They were all designed to meet the requirements of the Det Norske Veritas. TBN1+TBN2 were additionally designed for World Wide Services. In 2007 - 2008 TBN1 AND TBN2 went through an intensive and costly program of abatement of asbestos by removal or encapsulation. Icebreaker TBN3 was constructed in the beginning of the 1980’ies at the time of increased focus and awareness on hazardous material hereunder asbestos. TBN3 is to the best knowledge built without asbestos. The Icebreakers were all formally decommissioned in the beginning of 2013. ALL were taken out of service in the period from 2010 to 2013. Now in DNV Laid Up status – and they are annually surveyed by the Det Norske Veritas - latest survey was performed in December 2013. The Icebreakers are for sale for further operational use. Potential buyers' inspection of the Icebreakers and spare parts to take place during April/May 2014 prior to submitting of offers. The inspection can take place by prior appointment only The Icebreakers shall be subject to “prior sale“. The Buyers to pay brokers commission.
