On November 20, 2017 the Vladimir Uskov research vessel set sail and quitted the port of Azov. During the expedition experts will study conditions of the habitat of water bioresources in Taganrog Bay.

After the collapse of the USSR the fishery science lost own research vessels in the Azov-Black Sea basin and was stimulated to rent non-core fleet. Today, quarter of the century later, research fleet revives. The Federal Agency for Fishery in 2017 allocated funds for repair and re-equipment of small fishing stern trawler "Vladimir Uskov".
As the press service of Rosrybolovstvo marks, the vessel will be used for carrying out specialized scientific research in the Azov and Black seas.
