The keel of the second type PKS-180 Golden Ring river cruise ship was laid at Lotos Shipyard (making part of United Shipbuilding Corporation). The ceremony coincided with the forthcoming professional holiday, namely, the Day of Shipbuilder. This was reported by
the press-office of the Shipyard.
The ship's keel laying was attended by Jury Kazantsev, chief expert of the Civil Shipbuilding Department (United Shipbuilding Corporation), Igor Sadovnichy, interim CEO of Lotos Shipyard, Dmitry Galkin, CEO of Gama Group, Victor Lishchuk, CEO of
Nizhny-Volzhsky Branch of Russian River Register, and Astrakhan region authorities.
In January this year, the keel of the leading ship of this type was laid. Motor ships are being built under USC lease program for sea-going and river civil ships. The Customer is Goznak Leasing (making part of USC), while Volgaservis and Rechservis (members of Gama Group) will act as shipowners and operators.
