The keel of type 11711 Petr Morgunov Large Landing Ship was laid at Yantar in 2015. The ship will be of 5000 tons displacement and will be the largest among the existing large landing ships of the Russian Navy.
The Petr Morgunov Large Landing Ship is under construction and will be launched soon. This was announced by the CEO of
Yantar Shipyard (Kaliningrad) Eduard Efimov in his
interview to Inerfax.
"In 2017 we had a significant progress at other Russian MoD orders: the Petr Morgunov Large Landing Ship, which will be launched soon, and oceanographic research vessels Almaz and Yevgeny Gorigledzhan" said Efimov.

The keel of type 11711 Petr Morgunov Large Landing Ship was laid at Yantar in 2015. The ship will be of 5000 tons displacement and will be the largest among the existing large landing ships of the Russian Navy. The ship will be capable of transporting 13 tanks or more than 30 APCs and IFVs. The ship will be also capable of taking a battalion of marines. The ship's cruising range is 4000 nm, which makes it a true blue water ship.
