TASS refers to the words of the representative of information department and mass communications of the Russian Navy Defense Ministry Igor Dygalo, saying that the new ice breaker "Ilya Muromets" constructed for the benefit of Russian Navy will go for the state tests in the next few days.
"It is planned that during the period from October 4 to October 7 the latest ice breaker "Ilya Muromets" will leave the fitting-out embankment of the Admiralty Shipyards enterprise in St. Petersburg and will come for the state tests", - Dygalo said.
According to him, during the state tests all characteristics and systems of the ice breaker, in particular, work of radio navigational and other radio engineering means, load-lifting devices, life support systems, propulsion systems and anchor devices will be checked.
"Now preparation of the ice breaker for the state tests comes to the end. The commander-in-chief of the Navy admiral Vladimir Korolev has charged to the corresponding heads and further to exercise planned control of tests and also their military and technical maintenance", - the head of department of shipbuilding of the Navy rear admiral Vladimir Tryapichnikov whose words are quoted by Dygalo has told.
