Yury Trutnev, the deputy prime minister, stated the necessity of increasing the funding for construction of ferries for passengers and cargoes transportation in the Russian
North East.
The construction of ferries to cruise between the Commander Islands and Kamchatka will start in 2018. This was reported by Interfax – Far East with the reference to Yury Trutnev, the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District.
Trutnev noted that the project financing shall be increased. "The problem is that it is an old project then underestimated to 920 million rubles, so no one is willing to take it.
