Delovoy Peterburg newspaper reported the Aris + Geser Group plans to invest several hundred million rubles in an enterprise to supply to both civil and defence sectors.
Almost 300M rubles will be invested in the toughened glass manufacture by Yury Lebedev owned Aris + Geser Group which develops and manufactures ship equipment, according to
Delovoy Peterburg.
It is supposed that this new production will be demanded not only in military shipbuilding but also in home building, for example for facade glazing.
"It is especially demanded by the military, who care a lot about the ship being able to carry as many missiles as possible. That is why all equipment, for example furniture, supplied for military ships is very light weighted. Toughened glass is almost not manufactured in Russia, but in Europe it is the only type used by the military," explains Aleksey Lukyanov, the Deputy Director General of the Development Office of the Group.
