Job Objective
Responsible for the recruitment, development and retention of the CSC team. Ensures the timely, qualitative and cost effective provision of seafarers to the SMCs based on business requirements. Organizing, guiding and utilizing the resources available for the selection of the most suitable candidates.
Key Accountabilities
• Assisting the CSC Director in monitoring trends and analyses the data from the local and regional market.
• Prepare the seafarers’ market intelligence analysis
• Overviews the development of the training courses to seafarers according to business requirements.
• Involved in the negotiations of the reward package for the selected seafarers.
• Reviews and is up-to-date with the local employment laws and regulations.
• Assist CSC Director and monitors the efficient operation of the Unit. Identifying areas for improvement and proposing modifications
• Provide analytical reports to the Head Offices for the effectiveness and quality of the recruitment activities of the CSC.
• Assist the CSC Director in the development of the Office budget. Identifies cost saving opportunities and initiates corrective actions in case of deviations, in order to ensure compliance with set targets.
• Coordinates, coaches and motivates his direct reports through the appropriate training, development, management of performance and proposes salary progression.
Education & Qualifications
University degree in maritime operations or equivalent.
Work Experience:
? At least 6-7 years of experience in maritime recruiting
? Relevant experience in maritime Manning operations and /or Ex Master Mariner/Chief
Job Specific Skills
? Very good knowledge of the vessels’ crew requirements and seafarers’ specifications
? Knowledge of the local and regional agencies, marine schools and other marine associations
? Experience in recruitment, training and development methodologies
? Very good knowledge of the seafarers’ rights and the maritime labour law
? Fluency in English
